Week 31: Senior Year With Hudson

Most Important Part: Learning grammar and important things about people's minds and society. We have learned a lot about others and ourselves in Hudson's class. The stories that we read have taught us things. They make us think and form opinions. Thank you for making us work and think hard, Hudson! Hardest Part: Assignments and projects that were too close together with little time to do them. It was difficult for me, but I made it!!!  I wish I was able to take a study hall this year. It would have helped a lot. At least I got a taste of working and cramming school work in too. and also getting little sleep. Thing I Learned or Improved on The Most: I think I improved on functioning with little sleep. It is unbelievable how stressful your senior year can get. I always found myself cramming my homework in between work and sleep. Sometimes, I stayed up to finish my work. Most nights, I couldn't keep my eyes open. Favorite Memory: I have many good memories in Hudson's...

Week 30: My Will is Your Peace

JUNIORS: I hope that one day, you guys will be SOOO much nicer. I hope you lead the underclassmen with pride. Washburn is going to change for the better. Will you be a part of that change? I would love to pass down a senior will of wisdom. This will would have the little wisdom I have acquired from my journey so far. I have learned a lot of things that would be VERY useful to the juniors. Most of my wisdom is about appreciating what you have, loving all you can, and helping people become happier. I love to focus on the positive because life is awesome!!! I have learned to let most things go. I still have a few things I'm holding on to, but I will let them go eventually. I have also learned to be kind to others. You don't know what is going on in their life or their head. There is no need to be anything but nice and respectful. I have also learned to lend a hand, a shoulder, or an ear whenever possible. Sometimes, people just need a little help or some support. Lord knows we all...

Week 29: Always Be Humble and Kind

To the graduating class of 2019 at LWHS, PLEASE OPEN YOUR MINDS TO WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY. All of you need to admit when you are wrong. Quit arguing and thinking you are right all of the time. Also, BE KIND. You guys are mean. No one likes mean people. No one needs all of that hate and negativity. Also, TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR SCHOOL. Your teachers care about you, and some devote their lives to making yours better. OPEN YOUR  EYES AND HEARTS TO THEM. Feel grateful for what you have. You have it pretty good here at LWHS. Your teachers care a lot about you, and most of them will drop what they are doing to help you. In a bigger school, you wouldn't get that. So respect your teachers by doing your best in their classes and treating them right. Tell them how much you appreciate them!!!  DO ALL OF YOUR WORK ON TIME. You can make it through all of your classes if you actually DO YOUR WORK and TRY YOUR BEST and TURN IN YOUR WORK ON TIME. Your classes aren't that hard. If you have a ...

Week 28: A Room for the New Baby

Image
Some of you may not know,  but my step-mom is pregnant again. We have new room for the baby we have now, let alone another. I would LOVE to move, but if we had unlimited resources to build an additional room, my dad would definitely take advantage of the opportunity! I would help my dad build the room for the new baby. We would make it big enough for Eden and the new baby to share. It would have a cool crib that transforms into a bed when Eden is big enough. We would make it nature-themed to make it seem like the room is in the rain forest. It would have lighting fixtures to make it look like any type of weather. It would also have star lights. The sound system would make it seem even more realistic. Eden would have so many cooler toys and a walk-in cave to fit his toys in. Or if he wanted, he could put his toys in a toy chest shaped like a log and use the cave as a hide-out. The new baby would have it's own side of the room so Eden can learn to share fairly. The baby's thi...

Week 27: My Sister Ruined My Innocence

When I was younger, my big sister kicked me out of our room. I slept on the couch or with my parents in their bed for years. When my parents were away, my sister would belittle me and make me do things that i didn't want to. I would often escape her clutches by playing with the neighborhood kids. But some days, she didn't let me go anywhere. She would make me clean with her. She almost never made food for me, so I had to learn how to cook my meals. Now that you heard part of my sob story, I will tell you how she ruined my innocence. She LOVED scary movies. One time, she MADE me watch IT. I had a nightmare about waking up on the couch with my sister passed out next to me. The IT main menu was on the TV. I stared at it, and IT blinked. I shut my eyes fast to pretend i was sleeping, but i could feel him watching me. I opened them again, and he blinked again. "Hello, Jessica. Do you wanna play?" IT said. I screamed and tried to wake up my sister, but she wasn't ...

Week 26: Subway Sandwiches

I know the "correct" way of making sandwiches. A lot of people don't understand that the way the ingredients are arranged on a sandwich affects the taste. The preparation of food is an art that should be greatly appreciated. I make beautiful sandwiches. I make the lunch meat look appetizing. I put the perfect amount of veggies and sauce on the sandwiches as well. I almost always cut the bread and sandwiches perfectly in the middle. Making wraps is my favorite. I'm one of the only ones at Subway that can make a wrap properly. I make all of the ingredients fit in the tortilla, and they taste delicious! They don't fall apart either. I think I'm a pretty good Sandwich Artist. YOU ALL SHOULD COME AND GIVE ME A REVIEW!!!!!!

Week 25: All of the Help I Can Get

I think that the future me would say something like this... Worry about yourself. You have your own life to figure out. People need to learn to look out for themselves and learn from mistakes that are made. You can't help everyone. You can't save everyone. Do what you want. It's your life! Go do crazy things while you are young! Before long, 10 years will fly by and you will wish that you lived your life a little more than you did. Go seek adventure and try new things! If someone wants you in their life, their actions will say so. You can't always trust in what people say and promise. What is more promising is when their actions reflect their words. if they want you, they will try hard for you. But don't think you can sit around and let others put in all of the work. You need to show that you want others in your life as well. Show that you care. Say what you can while you can. We don't have forever. If you have feelings for someone, tell them! Don't le...

Week 24: Evil Within

I have always wondered if villains ever become rebels of their own nature and think happy thoughts... like the joker wanting a happy family with Harley Quinnn and being normal. I think that, depending on the villain, they spend their "day off"either thinking of other people's misery with a smiled on their face and laid back in a chair or thinking of being a good person. maybe they would watch YouTube videos of other villains and laugh at seriously terrible things. I wonder if they feel like they need to purge themselves of happiness and goodness. I wonder if they believe that opposites attract, too, and they go after the good girls... I guess we will never know...
